We'd firstly like to say a huge thank you to everyone who applied to our first round of The Voices Podcast Studio Residency. Due to so many incredible applications we have filled all of our slots. However, as the launch was so successful and we received such a positive response we're making space in our schedule for more podcast residents!
So, we're re-opening our application form for round 2.

What is the Voices Podcast Studio Residency?
The Voices Podcast Studio Residency is a programme dedicated to supporting grassroots podcasters in the creation, development and broadcasting of their projects. Successful applicants will see their podcast have a monthly slot on Voices Radio which broadcasts from Kings Cross to the world.
Residents will get recording time in our professional podcast studio as well as learning resources, promotional support and access to the creative community that makes Voices.
Requirements
- This is a monthly recurring residency — you must record and submit one podcast per month.
- Each episode must be exactly 1 hour in length.
- Episodes must be submitted 48 hours before your scheduled broadcast time on Voices Radio.
- You can cancel anytime.
- The residency is by application only. Our podcast team will review all applications and select those that best suit the programming and ethos of Voices Radio.
- If your application isn’t successful, you’re still welcome to book our studio independently through our website.
What’s Included
Studio Access
- Up to 3 hours of studio time per month (professional multitrack audio + video recording).
- You’ll receive credits for 3 hours of studio use, bookable through your online account.
- You’ll record independently, but we’ll provide a hands-on induction so you’re confident using the equipment.
- The setup is user-friendly — ideal even if you’re not technical.
- Prefer extra support? You can book a Voices team member to assist during your recording for £30/hour.
- Bookable studio hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–8pm.
Promotion
- Create a 30-second promo video for each episode during your studio time.
- We’ll post your promo at the time of your broadcast on Voices Radio and Voices Studio Instagram accounts, in collaboration with your own account.
- If you produce additional promo clips, we may also collaborate on those posts - just let us know.
Broadcast on Voices Radio
- Your show will have a 1-hour slot on Voices Radio.
- Upload your recording to your personal Google Drive folder at least 48 hours before broadcast.
- Broadcasts are audio-only.
Training & Resources
- Receive an in-person induction on recording in the studio.
- Access written and video learning materials with tips, tricks, and best practices.
Community & Events
- Join regular in-person meetups with fellow residents to network, share ideas, and collaborate.
- Enjoy discounts for select partner events, festivals, and products.
Cost
£60 per month
- Monthly subscription — cancel anytime.
- Includes 3 hours of studio credit and access to all residency benefits.
